Phone system questions.

How does the slider work?
Drag to set your number of users. At each pack threshold (5, 10, 20 users) your per-user price drops and new features unlock automatically. The price updates live as you drag.
Do I need to buy phones from you?
No. Use our free softphone apps on mobile/desktop, bring any standard SIP phone (Yealink, Snom, Polycom), or buy outright from our store. We never bundle leases or trap you in proprietary hardware.
Can I add users later?
Yes — add or remove users any time. Your pack tier auto-adjusts. No penalties, no contract rewrites. Just 30 days notice if you want to leave entirely.
What's included in the base price?
Every user gets unlimited Australian calls, a softphone app, voicemail, and access to your shared business number. Higher packs add IVR, queues, Teams, recording, and more.
Do you support Microsoft Teams?
Teams Direct Routing is included from the Office Pack (10+ users). It lets you make and receive calls from the Teams dial pad using your business number.
Is there a contract?
No lock-in contracts. Month-to-month with 30 days notice. The only commitment is any hardware you choose to buy outright.
What happens to my existing numbers?
We port them across for free. About 99% of Australian landline, 1300/1800 and mobile numbers move to IppyComms in 5–10 business days with zero downtime — check yours with the port checker.
Can staff work from home or on the road?
Yes. The same extension rings on the mobile and desktop apps as well as a desk phone, so the team takes business calls anywhere there’s internet — with the office number on caller ID, never a personal mobile.
What if the internet or power goes out?
Your numbers fail over automatically to mobiles or another destination you choose, so calls keep arriving even when the office is dark. With Teams there’s also a softphone fallback if Teams itself has an outage.
How much do desk phones cost?
Handsets are yours outright from $149 for a Yealink T31G, or $189 for a W56P cordless DECT — no leases, ever. Prefer no hardware? Use the free apps. Either way, setup and onboarding are $0. Browse the range on our desk phones page.
