Terms of service

Effective May 2026 · Ipswich Communications

These terms govern your use of the IppyComms service provided by Ipswich Communications ("we", "us", "our"). By signing up you agree to be bound by them.

1. Service

IppyComms provides hosted VoIP telephony, related software, and supplied hardware to Australian businesses. Service is provided on a month-to-month basis unless otherwise agreed in writing.

2. Term and termination

Either party may terminate the service for any reason on thirty (30) days' written notice. No early-termination fees apply.

3. Hardware

Where you purchase handsets or other hardware from us, ownership transfers to you on payment in full. We do not finance hardware through third-party leasing arrangements.

4. Fees and billing

Fees are billed monthly in advance. Per-minute call charges (including international, premium-rate and out-of-bundle usage) are billed in arrears. Pricing is set out in your order form and our published rate card, available on request.

5. Number portability

If you choose to leave, we will release your numbers via Local Number Portability (LNP) at no cost. We typically complete porting requests within five business days of receiving complete authorisation.

6. Service availability and CSG

We provide a Customer Service Guarantee (CSG) statement separately — see /legal/csg.

7. Acceptable use

You must not use the service for unlawful purposes, to send unsolicited bulk communications, to commit fraud, or in any way that materially degrades the service for other customers.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the fees paid by you in the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

9. Changes

We may update these terms with thirty (30) days' notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
